Blockchain for banking and finance
Stablecoins, asset tokenisation, smart contracts, on-chain compliance. Alawen works from strategic scoping down to the code, with specialists who have worked on these subjects inside companies.
Expertise
Expert days
You order a number of days on a specific area of expertise. Your teams use them on demand: workshop, meeting, working session, in half days when the format suits.
Each block of days is tied to one expert, named from the start, who follows your subjects from one session to the next. Consumption is reported in writing every week.
- Functional: operating models, blockchain and stablecoin use cases.
- Compliance: digital asset regulation, AML/CFT requirements, regulatory steering.
Technical assistance
A blockchain engineer joins your team and works on the priorities you set. Typical work:
- design, development and optimisation of Solidity smart contracts;
- code review, vulnerability analysis, preparation and follow-up of external security audits;
- implementation of tokenisation and on-chain compliance standards (identity, KYC, permissioned transfers);
- testing, continuous integration and deployment tooling;
- nodes, validators and test environments;
- documentation and knowledge transfer to your teams.
Training
Alawen does not run generic training. Each programme starts from the need that triggers the course and from the protocol you use, then is adjusted to the actual level of your participants. Courses last three days, take place at your premises and are mostly hands-on workshops. The two programmes below are examples already delivered.
Hyperledger Besu: operations and development, 3 days
- Day 1: Besu architecture, QBFT and IBFT 2.0 consensus, starting a private network with Docker, monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana, troubleshooting.
- Day 2: smart contracts with Foundry, from writing to testing and deployment, EVM basics, an introduction to Yul, common security mistakes.
- Day 3: application integration in Node.js, Java or .NET, sending transactions, listening to events, resilience in production.
Blockchain security on Hyperledger Besu, 3 days
- Day 1: where blockchain security comes from, what QBFT guarantees, finality, what cryptographic proofs and interoperability change.
- Day 2: Solidity and EVM flaws, randomness, bridges and interoperability, real hacks dissected and replayed in a controlled environment.
- Day 3: a CTF-style exercise, reconnaissance, static analysis, execution traces, writing exploits against vulnerable contracts.
How a course runs
- A preparation meeting and a form to learn each participant's profile, level and goals.
- About 70% hands-on workshops and 30% theory.
- Ten participants at most per session. Beyond that, a second session is organised.
- Digital course material and corrected exercises handed out at the end.
- Courses delivered in French or English.
Strategic consulting
Before any code is written, someone has to choose the use cases, the model and the partners. Alawen supports that phase.
- Use cases: cross-border payments in stablecoin, corporate cash management, tokenised funds, purchase of digital assets by a bank's clients.
- Choice of model: issuing your own stablecoin or relying on a third-party issuer, with the risks of each option (market, compliance, technology, finance).
- Regulatory requirements: MiCA, AML/CFT, sanctions, MiFID II, KYC and KYT controls.
- Proof-of-concept scoping: objectives, scope, required partners, success indicators, roadmap, cost estimate.
- Workshops: mapping of current processes, design thinking, functional architecture.
